Safeguarding & Duty of Care Statement — MyNewFuture.org

Effective date: 1st February 2026

MyNewFuture.org is operated by My New Future CIC (Community Interest Company), Company No. 16297063.
We are committed to acting responsibly and with care toward all users of our services.

This statement explains our safeguarding approach, our duty of care boundaries, and how we respond to users who may be vulnerable or in distress.

Our Role

MyNewFuture.org provides:

  • AI-assisted guidance

  • structured planning tools

  • educational and self-help resources

  • step-by-step action plans

Our service is designed to support clearer thinking and practical next steps. It is not a crisis, medical, or emergency support service.

Not an Emergency or Crisis Service

We do not provide:

  • emergency support

  • crisis intervention

  • mental health treatment

  • medical advice

  • legal representation

If you are in immediate danger or crisis, you should contact:

  • Emergency Services — 999 (UK)

  • NHS 111

  • Your GP

  • Samaritans — 116 123

  • Shout Crisis Text Line — text SHOUT to 85258

Users in Distress

If a user’s responses suggest serious distress, risk, or vulnerability, our system may display messages encouraging the user to seek appropriate professional or emergency help.

We may recommend:

  • speaking with a GP

  • contacting a qualified counsellor

  • contacting a recognised support charity

  • reaching out to trusted family or friends

  • contacting emergency or crisis services

AI Limitations and Safeguarding

Our plans are generated using AI systems based on the information provided by the user.

Because of this:

  • responses may not fully understand complex emotional risk

  • advice may not always be appropriate for high-risk situations

  • users must apply personal judgement

  • professional help should be sought where needed

AI guidance must never replace qualified professional support in serious matters.

Protection of Vulnerable Users

We aim to design our guidance in a supportive, non-judgemental, and practical way.

However:

  • users remain responsible for their decisions

  • we cannot monitor users in real time

  • we cannot guarantee user safety outcomes

  • we cannot intervene directly in personal situations

Where appropriate, we signpost to recognised support services.

Children and Young People

Our services are primarily intended for adults.

Users under 18 should only use the service with the knowledge and involvement of a parent, guardian, teacher, or responsible adult.

We do not knowingly provide personalised plans to children without appropriate adult oversight.

Duty of Care Boundaries

Our duty of care includes:

  • providing guidance in good faith

  • encouraging safe and responsible decision-making

  • being transparent about limitations

  • signposting to professional services

Our duty of care does not extend to:

  • supervising user actions

  • guaranteeing outcomes

  • replacing professional support

  • providing emergency intervention
